I just found out I am going to be a vendor at the Claremont Village Venture festival. This event has over 450 vendors. I am sharing a booth with MiriamDema who is a wonderfully talented screenprint artist.

Other fabulous artists I know that will be there are Portnerness, MyFriendRoze, and YolandasClay.

The 27th annual event takes place on Saturday, October 25th.

New Why Ring!

Wednesday, August 27

Fun new ring! Lots of options in this simple little ring. I got some new fabulous hammers to play with at the JCK show this year.

Democratic National Convention

Monday, August 25

Please educate yourself and vote in November, so that we never have another 8 years like the past 8!

There are many problems with our country and the world today. There are many problems with our supposedly Democratic society, but if you do not cast your vote, you leave the decision up to whoever else decides to go to the polls.

As Michelle said, "The world as it is just won't do. We have an obligation to fight for the world as it should be."

"This time we need to listen to our hopes instead of our fears."

New Kids on The Block

Saturday Late Night Treasury

Sunday, August 17

I was up after attending a disappointing NeckFace Art show. I wanted to see more. It was super packed, hot, and smelly. And I only saw 6 watercolors.

Anyway so I was up making a new banner for my Etsy shop and I got a treasury by a happy accident.

The SoCal Bench Project Nails It!!!

Friday, August 15

I have been away from my neglected blog for a while because lots of exciting things have been happening. I helped plan the SoCal Bench Project and it was so much fun and a great learning experience. The event featured around 30 vendors selling their handmade products. We were able to get a local charity involved, New Directions Inc. They are a fantastic organization that helps homeless and in need veterans get food, medical, job training and more! We raised close to $2,000 for this wonderful charity.

For more info on the SoCal Bench Project and to stay updated on future events please visit our blog or website.

Stellar Etsy Shops: MyFriendRoze

Sunday, August 10

MyFriendRoze makes sterling silver and 14K Gold wearable art. She earned her BFA in Sculpture but discovered metalsmithing from an Aunt who made jewelry. She was a vendor at the SoCal Bench Project with me and she made these fantastic orange cases for all her beautiful work.

I am loving her two newest collections. The first picture shows her bubble wrap pendant with a green agate stone. The second is a new take on her popular bubbles collections. Aren't the seed beads a great addition of color?

Be sure to check out her Etsy shop.

SoCal Bench Project this Saturday

Thursday, August 7

I'm donating a $50.00 gift certificate to the raffle to raise money for New Directions Inc. There is going to be a great raffle to raise money for a great cause. There are prizes valued at over $200.00 from the Artisans as well as local businesses.

The event is free and open to the public plus free parking! We are holding our inaugural event at the Veteran's Memorial Complex in Culver City located on the corner of Culver and Overland. So come out and support a great cause and shop some fantastic handmade products from local Artisans.
