New Copper Bangles up on Etsy

Sunday, January 27

Just added these to my Etsy shop. They are available in square and half round. They look best in sets and I like them mixed with my sterling silver bangles.

CCCOE Downtown Group Trip !

Saturday, January 26

I met up with some of my fellow CCCOE Street Team ladies in downtown LA today. We hit up the fashion district and the jewelry district and had lots of fun putting faces to the Etsy shops online. I can't wait to see more of all these talented and crazy women. I am finishing up some new bangles and rings tonight because I have an early morning snowboard trip to Mt. High tomorrow. I have a action packed weekend I must say. Check out our blog and visit some of the shops of our members.

Wonderful Talent...Erin C Williams

Thursday, January 24

So I am constantly inspired by others around me and what they do and Erin Williams is no exception. I went to college with this amazing artist and she recently opened an Etsy shop called EstherDagny where she sells brooches, necklaces, and these unique jumper rings. Besides the jewelry she does sculpture that is out of this world and will be having a show in Virginia this April which she is preparing for now.

I decided to blog about her today after talking to her on the phone before work. She just sprained her ankle and is going a little stir crazy because she is not able to work or go to her studio in Philly. Check out her website for more info you will not be disappointed.

Steven Dweck

Tuesday, January 22

At work I flip through lots of magazines and catalogs to see what other designers are doing. I am trying to learn more about the vast world of fashion. Well the other day I stumbled upon Steven Dweck in a Neiman Marcus catalog and just love it. I love his use of large carved stones and bronze. I love that he uses tigerseye, hematite, agate, and bloodstone.

My boss saw the large rings in the photos and showed it to me immediately I went straight home to check out his website.

New Beginning Ring and New Painting

Monday, January 21

So in the New Year I have many goals but I will take them on step by step and here is a ring and a painting to kick that off. The ring is an entry in the CCCOE street team monthly challenge. The theme is Science and this ring is inspired by mother nature's power to give new life. Inspiration came from robin's eggs and pollination. The tree painting is the fifth in my Simple Tree series. For etsy it is numbered #2 because I am only posting small paintings right now.

Bangle Mania!

Wednesday, January 16

New styles will be up soon in my shop. Most of these were for a store in Texas though. Look for different color cabachon styles in the future. I'm loving this new style!

Handbook to Handmade and Bangle Mania

Sunday, January 13

This weekend has been all about hammering bangles. I had an order to complete for work of at least 30 bangles. I am also working on a custom order in copper for a friend with that wonderful blue, green patina. Photos will come in the next few weeks.

I am being featured in the Handbook to Handmade volume 3 with 34 other talented artists! TimothyAdamDesigns of Etsy puts these wonderful books together. I just have to decide which items to include to represent my work.

I also just committed to an Art Show in March to show my paintings again. I need to get painting too!

New Custom Ring

Wednesday, January 9

So I had so much fun over the holidays making custom designs for some of my favorite customers. I just wanted to post up a picture of a random button lying around your house becoming a beautiful attention getting ring. I love this ring and hope to find buttons like it in the future for myself.

New Necklaces and a Painting

Wednesday, January 9

So I had fun using my new camera today and experimenting with 3 papers I bought at the art store. The new camera is super easy to use and the pictures are much nicer! Now I have to finish some of the 20 rings and and pendants I started this weekend.

Merry Christmas to Me!!

Tuesday, January 8

So I went to Best Buy today to get the new Kate Nash cd because I like angry British women, and also the Alicia Keys cd and I left with a new camera. I also got some presentation paper for half the price because it was opened!! So I loved my old Canon powershot but I bought it 4 or 5 years ago and things have of course come along way. My old camera was much bulkier, cost more than double, and had only 4mp. I almost switched to Nikon mainly because it was red, but decided to stick with the brand I know how to operate with. So we shall see if my new camera gives me better photos. I have a bunch of new necklaces, rings, and a new painting to photograph. Hopefully I will get to it this week. The battery is charging now. Oh that's the other thing I don't have to keep buying rechargeable AA batteries anymore. With what I spent on batteries this new camera almost pays for itself!

New Love

Saturday, January 5

I was using the Etsy Pounce tool today and stumbled across Spin Designs and fell in love. The make mobiles out of matboard that are so beautiful. They also design jewelry. But I just love the mobiles. They have an etsy site as well as a website. Check this sister team out they are so talented.
