Update...

The Handbook to Handmade put together by TimothyAdamDesigns arrived in my mailbox yesterday. My work is featured as the second artist. When I get a free minute I have to check out all the other wonderful artists in the book along with me. A fellow CCCOE member Heather Palleiko is also in the book with me.

I am also signed up to do the new SouthPark Flea Market in Downtown LA on March 16th. It goes from 9-4 and I will be there with another CCCOE member a very talented photographer Deirdre Ryan

Finally Carol of QuirkynBerkeley featured me on her blog. If you are at all curious what inspires me and how I got into metalsmithing check out my story on her blog.

Now back to the bench to finish my February challenge of Lucky Charm and of course more rings.

Petals Series and More

These are a few pictures of some custom orders I have been working on. The petals rings are going to a gallery in Santa Ana next weekend along with some other work. The green agate may go up on Etsy or it may go to Oak in Boston, I am also working on a shipment for this store opening in April!

New Shop in Canada

March 8th Gingerly is opening up in BC, Canada. I won't pretend to know anything much about Canada except that I am jealous of their health care and snowboarding. But I took a picture of the first shipment I sent out this morning. There was one ring missing because I had to fix it, it was being a feisty ring.

I also got my package from Rio today. A new oval bracelet mandrel, more metal to play with and some other random goodness.

New Rings...

Two new rings and a custom pair of earrings. I have been working on lots of new rings and necklaces lately and wanted to post pictures of a few of my favorites. I love the copper petals so I decided to make it a little series of rings. Maybe some pendants will follow as well. Labradorite and a coin pearl I am so in love!

The Beach and the Mountains...

So the amazing thing about Cali is that you can be at the beach in the morning and be in the snow later that same day. My sister was in town from Vermont so we went to Venice Beach so she could see the sites. Then we left for Mammoth for some amazing snowboarding. It was so warm the first two days, it got really cold and windy the next two days. The last day it was 9 degrees. So I felt like I was back East again.

I'm off to Mammoth.

Going to ride for 4 days. I will be super busy when I get back so if I forget to post I will soon. I'm trying to pack and get everything together as quick as I can before my ride is ready to take off.

This wonderful button comes in black and white and 3 sizes. I can never decide which one I like so I make them all. This is the first medium black one I have made. It went off in a shipment to Bleu-Lulu.com.

I have been very busy lately so luckily I am designing more than one thing a day!! Look for lots of new designs in the new year.

My day...

This was my day today. I shipped off two shipments to two new stores I will be carried in. Bleu-Lulu.com and Paper Boat Boutique and Gallery. Then it was off to the doctors. The picture shows what my poor toes look like. I updated some line sheets tonight and sent them off. Now I just have to wish the pain away so I can finish some more orders.

Design of the Day

I am a little cranky today at the post office by my house. The automated system is never working right and I hate standing in line. Today I had to have some minor surgery on my feet so standing in line was very painful. I should have just gone home today and shipped things tomorrow.

Anyway here is my new design for today a super cute petite blue scroll ring.

Flower Petals sterling Silver Ring. Features tiny copper petals on the ring shank and bezel. Love this ring. There will be more to come, because I think this one is for me.

Design a Day

Because I like to make myself crazy I joined a Design a Day flikr group.
I will try to post a design a day for the month of February. I am supposed to go to Mammoth from the 11th-14th so I won't be making anything then. But if my feet don't heel I will not be snowboarding.

Anyway some of these designs will be available in my shop others might be for fun or for some of my new retail stores. This month I am adding at least 4 new retail stores for you to buy my wonderful designs in person. When the packages arrive to the stores I will update my shop list.

So the first design is the third in a series of cast rings that I fill with resin. Each one is unique and I love them all. I sold the first one so I made two more.
